Mr. Waleed Mahmood serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Union Insurance & Reinsurance Company (GUIRCO), a position he has held since April 2022. With over three decades of extensive experience in the insurance industry, he is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). Mr. Waleed holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Westminster in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals. Prior to his tenure at GUIRCO, he was employed by Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company, United Insurance Company, and Bahrain National Insurance Company. Additionally, he currently serves as a board member of the Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA).
