Jamal has over 38 years experience as a Client Service Partner and Advisor for clients having led and managed cross-border engagements in Banking, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Government, Family/owner managed businesses, Manufacturing and Trading; as well as with several large corporations.
He is the Founding Board Member and Chairman for the Pearl Initiative – the leading independent, not-for-profit, by-business and for-business, in the Gulf Region, which aims to influence and improve corporate accountability and transparency across the region.
Furthermore, Jamal is Vice President of the Executive Bureau for the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB). The FCCIB is a member of the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad Network (CCI France International), which is one of the largest Business Network in the world with a combined membership base of more than 38,500 companies.
His expertise include cross-border engagements within multiple sectors including Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Government sectors Infrastructure and Communications.
Jamal was Chair of KPMG’s Middle East and South Asia Board from 2010 until 2014 and has represented the region on KPMG’s EMA board, International Board and International Council during this time.
Sits on several Government and Private Sector committees providing insight, advice and subject matter expertise on matters related to the profession, public finance and national economy.
Jamal is an active Bahraini Legislator a member and the First Vice-Chairman of the Shura Council (Upper House). He is also the proud recipient of the recognition and honor of the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Medal of a second-class, by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. In his role as a Shura Council member, Jamal has headed up and led several international, regional & national delegations at parliamentarian conferences.
