Mr. Ahmed is the CEO of BOK International, the flagship foreign branch of Bank of Khartoum strategically located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Under his direction, BOKI has developed a business plan to become a regional hub facilitating trade between Sudan and the rest of the world. Ahmed brings over 23 years of banking experience across leading financial institutions in Bahrain and the GCC. Throughout his career, Ahmed has held senior leadership roles in strategy, corporate and institutional banking, risk management, and credit, where he has played a key role in driving growth, enhancing governance, and building strong institutional relationships. Before joining BOK International, he spent a decade with a leading bank in Qatar under its International Banking Group, gaining extensive experience in cross-border and regional banking operations. He has also worked with several major banks across the GCC, including Saudi Arabia and Oman. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Bahrain and an MBA from the Swiss School of Management. In terms of current Board memberships, he is the Vice Chairman of the Islamic International Rating Agency, headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain and recognized by The National Insurance Authority in Sudan.
