Bala has over 37 years of experience in General Insurance Industry preceded by Banking sector, focusing on Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Risk Management and also as Profit Centre Head and in Leadership roles.

Bala is a Chartered Insurer, Certified Risk Professional and Certified Professional in Corporate Governance. He is a Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute, UK, Fellow of Insurance Institute of India and Certified Fellow of Institute of Risk Management, UK. He had also been Fellow of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). He is MBA (Finance) from University of Chennai and he also has various certifications in IT field, including Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).

Bala has been with our Group for over 22 years, of which 13 years with Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance Company, Riyadh as Vice President Technical, before joining Saudi Arabian Insurance Company BSC (C), Dubai as Senior Vice President-Technical heading Underwriting, Claim, Reinsurance and Risk Management verticals and moved on to become General Manager in Bahrain. Prior to joining Saudi Arabian Insurance Company, he worked in Senior positions in Reliance General Insurance and United India Insurance Company, in addition to State Bank of India.
