HATIM QAYS ZU’BI
Hatim graduated from the University of Reading with an LLB (Hons) and undertook the Legal Practice Course in London. During his legal training, he undertook professional placements in New York and London, including with AON Risk Services, Herbert Smith LLP, and White & Case LLP.
In August 2008, Hatim joined Zu’bi & Partners, Attorneys & Legal Consultants (Bahrain), following prior experience at leading Bahraini law firms, Hatim S. Zu’bi & Partners and Qays H. Zu’bi Attorneys & Legal Consultants. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2023.
Hatim advises on complex corporate and commercial matters, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, labour and employment, insurance, and dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, and ADR. He is recognized for his deep understanding of the Bahraini legal system, combined with strong international exposure.
Hatim is licensed as an Advocate before the Court of Cassation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as a Legal Consultant in Dubai, UAE, and as a Private Notary in the Kingdom of Bahrain, authorised to notarize documents in the English language.
He also serves as the Honorary Consul of Canada to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
