Cetin YURTTASER started his Banking Career at Citibank Turkiye which he served the Bank at different positions and departments which he gained his main extensive experience between 1991-1999.
He has almost 30 years of Wholesale, Retail, Private and Corporate Banking Experience. And worked as approved individual by Central Bank of Bahrain, Qatar Financial Services Authority, Dubai Financial Services Authority and Dublin Financial Services Authority.
He has been representing Kuveyt Turk Group within GCC region for almost 20 years. During this period had Group assignments of setting up Bahrain Wholesale Branch, Qatar QFC Branch, Kuveyt Turk Regional Office in Dubai and also taking role of CEO and Board Director at Kuwait Turkish Participation Bank (Dubai) Limited which was Kuveyt Turk Turkiye’s 100% owned Subsidiary Bank within DIFC.
When Kuveyt Turk BOD decided to exit from Qatar QFC and Dubai DIFC also had assignment to voluntarily closing all those operations in the region and then moved back to Bahrain to head Kuveyt Turk Bahrain Wholesale Branch.
At his current role, he is assisting Kuveyt Turk Head Office Treasury and work like money market Desk by raising up Liquidity from GCC Banks to Turkiye and depending on Banks’ liquidity position, investing a part of Banks’ excess liquidity with GCC Banks. Supporting Head Office FI for managing GCC FI Relationships and also participating to some Mega Islamic Projects/Syndications in Turkiye via Bahrain operations.
Cetin holds Masters’ Degree in Finance and Bachelors’ Degree in Economics. And also holds professional certificates/qualifications like, AAOIFI CSAA, BIBF ADIF, CISI IFQ, CIMA CDIF, ACGP MGP, CIBAFI CISRM.
He is married and has 2 Children.
